[Verse 1: Male] Backseat’s where the night slips slow, City lights in that soft afterglow, Heavy lids and the murmurs low, Everybody’s got that dreamy flow. [Verse 1: Female] Funky beat’s still in the air, Passing clouds and cool night air, Laughter floats without a care, In the back, we’re floating there. [Pre-Chorus: Both] Close your eyes, feel the ride, Side by side, no need to hide, Pulse of the night, in our stride, Together we glide, together we glide. [Chorus: Both] Falling asleep, in the backseat groove, Dreaming alive, in this after-move, Joy in the hush, we’re making the mood, Falling asleep, in the backseat groove. [Verse 2: Male] Rhythm hums beneath the skin, Quiet smiles, where dreams begin, Every heartbeat’s wearing thin, But the funky night keeps pulling in. [Verse 2: Female] Whispers soft like a velvet song, Wrapped in the night where we belong, Hold this feeling, keep it strong, In the backseat, where we all get along. [Bridge: Female + Male harmony] Soft and slow, the world unwinds, Heartbeat syncs, two souls aligned, In this funk, peace we find, Sleepy heads and dreams combined. [Chorus: Both] Falling asleep, in the backseat groove, Dreaming alive, in this after-move, Joy in the hush, we’re making the mood, Falling asleep, in the backseat groove. [Outro: Both, fading with playful bounce] Backseat groove, backseat groove, Dreamin’ smooth, in the backseat groove...
