[Verse] Steps frozen in the middle, hearts racing on display You caught me while I tumbled, in that funny broken way A slip, a glance, electric dance, a spark I can’t deny On that stalled escalator, you lifted me up high [Pre-Chorus] Laughter echoes, timing’s sweet Two strangers in a heartbeat [Chorus] On this broken escalator, love’s the ride we take Moving even when we’re standing, every step we make Caught in this sweet moment, we don’t want it to end On a broken escalator, I found my best friend [Verse] Hands touch like a secret, words floating in the air We’re balancing the silence, caught in this wild affair No need to rush the moving, let’s freeze and just pretend That every broken moment’s where the story starts again [Pre-Chorus] Laughter echoes, timing’s sweet Two strangers in a heartbeat [Chorus] On this broken escalator, love’s the ride we take Moving even when we’re standing, every step we make Caught in this sweet moment, we don’t want it to end On a broken escalator, I found my best friend [Bridge] We don’t need a downward motion, when you lift me higher In stillness, there’s explosion, setting hearts on fire Let’s break the rules, rewrite the plan Together here we stand [Chorus] On this broken escalator, love’s the ride we take Moving even when we’re standing, every step we make Caught in this sweet moment, we don’t want it to end On a broken escalator, I found my best friend [Chorus] On this broken escalator, love’s the ride we take Moving even when we’re standing, every step we make Caught in this sweet moment, we don’t want it to end On a broken escalator, I found my best friend [Outro] Broken steps, perfect start You and me, a moving heart
