[Verse] Morning sun through the window shines, Coffee brewing, clock unwinds. I’m wiping down these counters slow, Saving a slice for when the night lights glow. [Pre-Chorus] Every plate tells a little story, But this one’s just for you and me. [Chorus] I’m holding onto that cherry pie, Sweet as the stars up in the sky. Waiting for you when the evening's right, Underneath that neon light. I’m saving my heart and this slice for tonight, Baby, you’re my sweetest bite. [Verse] Lunch rush fades and the crowd thins down, Silver spoons and a gentle sound. The jukebox plays our favorite song, I’m humming close, can’t wait that long. [Pre-Chorus] In this diner where dreams might start, I’m keeping that slice and saving my heart. [Chorus] I’m holding onto that cherry pie, Sweet as the stars up in the sky. Waiting for you when the evening's right, Underneath that neon light. I’m saving my heart and this slice for tonight, Baby, you’re my sweetest bite. [Bridge] When the night shift’s lonely, I’ll be there, With a smile, a slice, and a little prayer. For moments shared, just me and you, That cherry pie and love so true. [Chorus] I’m holding onto that cherry pie, Sweet as the stars up in the sky. Waiting for you when the evening's right, Underneath that neon light. I’m saving my heart and this slice for tonight, Baby, you’re my sweetest bite. [Outro] Underneath that neon light, You’re my sweetest bite.
